A MAN'S behaviour made a mother and daughter feel uncomfortable in the city centre.

Police have released an update on the incident which took place at St Martin's Quarter on Wednesday, May 18. 

Information on the incident spread on Facebook and officers have released an update to allay fears.

A spokesperson from West Mercia Police said: "We’re aware of information circulating on social media in relation to an incident yesterday afternoon where a mother felt uncomfortable about the behaviour of man stood next to her and her child as they waited to cross the road.

"The incident has been reported to us and we are carrying out enquiries, including viewing CCTV, to establish if any criminal offences have been committed.

"We understand the concerns incidents of this nature can raise, however, would like to offer reassurance that our initial enquiries suggest the concerns were raised in good faith and we don’t believe there is wider risk."
