An 87-year-old man has been reunited with his wedding ring thanks to staff at a shopping centre.
Emily Burton, commercial manager at The Valley Evesham, took to social media to find the owner of a ring found at the site.
The ring was inscribed ‘John and Eileen 1957’, marking the couple’s wedding day on September 7 some 65 years ago.

More than 3,200 Facebook users shared the post, reaching 157,000 people.
It turns out that Eileen has unfortunately now passed away, but last weekend John Wakelin was reunited with his ring.
Emily said: “We would like to pass on our thanks to everyone who shared the post helping us to reunite John with his precious wedding ring.
“The power and positivity social media platforms can provide has shone through.”
