A BUSY road in Worcester is set to be affected by a 10mph speed regulation to accommodate roadworks this weekend.

The A38 Droitwich Road, Worcester, is due to be affected from today.

The work is for carriageway resurfacing, according to one.network.

The work will begin at 9pm on Friday and will end at 5am on Monday, May 30.

A diversion will be in place for those looking to gain access to Droitwich Road, which will take roughly 20 minutes.

1. Head south-west on Droitwich Rd/A38 towards Cope Rd -0.2 km

2. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on Droitwich Rd/A38 - Continue to follow A38 - 1.9 km

3. Turn left onto St Mary's St/A38 - 0.1 km

4. Turn right onto Sansome Walk/A38 - Continue to follow A38 - 0.4 km

5. Slight right towards St Nicholas St/A38 - 36 m

6. Turn right onto St Nicholas St/A38 - Continue to follow A38 - 1.6 km

7. Keep left to continue on Barbourne Rd/A449 - Continue to follow A449 - 2.9 km

8. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on A449 -2.2 km

9. Take the A4536 exit towards Blackpole - 0.3 km

10. Turn left onto Hurst Ln/A4536 - 0.4 km

11. Turn left onto Droitwich Rd/A38 - 2.1 km
