Worcester Bridge is being partially closed to traffic as the refurbishment of decorative lamposts takes place.
The left-hand westbound lane (towards St John’s) was being closed at 12.30pm on Monday (May 23) but footpaths remain open.
Worcestershire Highways said the work would take a few hours but should be completed by 3.30pm at the latest.
We reported last year that the bridge’s iconic street lanterns were being preserved and refurbished by Worcestershire County Council over the course of a year.

Historic Worcester Bridge lanterns to be restored
Drama surrounded the lamps earlier this year when one went missing after fallen off its post during Storm Eunice.
The lamp was later found dumped on Royal Grammer School Worcester’s Flagge Meadow playing fields.
