A CHILDREN'S football team has set up a new initiative to help families struggling financially.
Worcester-based WCT Raiders has organised a football boot exchange, helping children who have grown out of a pair of boots to exchange for a pair that fits.
Shaun Fry, WCT Raiders manager, said: “All parents end up replacing their children's boots while there is still plenty of wear in them, simply because they have outgrown them.
“I wanted to set up this exchange so no child would have to miss out on playing football due to the expense of new football boots.
Evie Taylor, 11, who attends WCT raiders development academy, said: "I think it's a fab idea every child can have a pair of boots and feel like they fit in without the parents having to find the money for expensive new ones."
Anyone who wants to donate boots to the exchange can contact Shaun on 07908703601.
