A child was taken to hospital in a critical condition after receiving CPR near Upton.
Paramedics were called to an address in Welland Road, Hanley Swan, at 3.26pm yesterday (Sunday, May 23), and found a member of the public performing CPR on the child.
The crew then administered “advanced life support” to the child before taking them to hospital.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 3:26pm on Sunday to reports of a medical emergency at an address in Welland Road.
“We sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance critical care car.
“Crews arrived to find the patient, a child, in a critical condition with bystander CPR in progress.
“Crews took over and administered advanced life support to the patient and continued treatment enroute to Worcestershire Royal Hospital.”
