A city councillor has revealed a second stabbing has taken place in Worcester this afternoon.

Jabba Riaz said things are 'getting out of control'.

It is not known at this time where the second incident has occurred, but it is believed to be on-going.

Cllr Riaz is holding an emergency meeting with the police after the stabbing - the second in Worcester in a 24 hour period.

Earlier today we reported how a man had suffered serious internal injuries and was being treated at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham having been stabbed in the stomach in Park Street, off Wyld's Lane last night.
