County dental teams have been taking part in National Smile Month.
The event, which runs from May 16 to June 16, aims to raise awareness of oral health issues.
Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust’s community dental team, who deliver a range of services across Worcestershire, have been focusing on a range of topics.
These include the life of a smile, the cost of a smile, nutrition, oral health around the UK, and mouth, mind and body.

The team also includes members of Worcestershire Smile Squad, registered dental nurses who work with young people and schools across the county to promote oral health.
Georgia Owen is an oral health promotion officer for Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust.
She said: “National Smile Month is a great opportunity for everyone to have a share in promoting good oral health, which affects your overall health.
Sharing smiley selfies
“There are lots of simple ways to be involved and spread the word on the benefits of looking after your oral health.”
Staff from the Moor Street Clinic in Worcester have been supporting the campaign by sharing their smiley selfies.
The smiley has been created to encourage people to brush twice with a fluoride toothpaste, cut down on sugary food and drinks and to visit the dentist regularly as well as making people smile.
