A MAN has been arrested after disorder outside a city pub left another man seriously injured.

The 34-year-old was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene of a crash and drink driving after the incident outside the Blackpole Inn pub.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, May 24, where a man was left with potentially serious injuries and had to be taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital for further assessment.

A police spokesperson said: "A 34-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene of a collision and drink driving following an incident outside the Blackpole Inn, Worcester, on Tuesday."

Police at the scene said they were alerted to disorder in the Blackpole Inn.

A David Lloyd Worcester lifeguard was walking to work when the incident took place and helped administered medical treatment until paramedics arrived at the scene.

It is not yet known if the man has been charged.
