A MAN has been fined after finally admitting driving without insurance or a MOT certificate.
Matthew Jarvis, of Charland Court, Droitwich, appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court on June 1 when he changed his plea to guilty.
We previously reported Jarvis successfully argued he had been unaware of court proceedings when he was convicted in his absence of driving without insurance - that conviction being quashed in April.
But magistrates heard the 47-year-old had driven a Skoda Fabia on the A38 in Droitwich on December 19, 2020, when Jarvis didn’t have a valid policy of insurance or the valid MOT certificate.
Jarvis was fined £120, and ordered to pay costs of £200 and a victim surcharge of £34.

He was also given six penalty points added to his licence.
An offer to pay the full amount, £354, at a rate of £20 a month was accepted by magistrates.
