WORKS are continuing at McDonald's in Blackpole ahead of its reopening this week.

The McDonald's restaurant closed on May 31, with a leaflet available at the restaurant saying "we're updating your McDonald's experience."

But Big Mac fans will not have to wait too much longer with the location due to reopen on Thursday.

Whilst the works have been ongoing, fencing has been established around the perimeter of the site.

Harvey Shop Fitters have been taking on the work, with a sign displayed on the fencing stating: "We apologise for any inconvenience caused during this refurbishment."

The McDonald's in Blackpole is the only restaurant with a drive-thru out of their three locations in Worcester.

Worcester has two alternative locations on Hylton Road and on the Foregate in the city centre.

A McDonald's spokesperson said: "Our restaurant on Blackpole Road in Worcester will be closed from Tuesday, May 31 to undergo refurbishment works, creating a new layout which will improve the experience of the restaurant team and our customers.

"We look forward to re-opening from 11am on Thursday, June 16.”
