SEVERE damage was caused to a roof as multiple fire crews battled a blaze at a home near Worcester.

The fire severely damaged the roof of a building connecting to the house in Hadley Heath, Droitwich.

But fire crews were able to keep the blaze contained without damaging the rest of the home.

Several fire engines from across the county were at the home - though it is believed nobody was hurt in the fire.

Police were operating a one-way system along the road with two police officers ensuring traffic could safely pass the emergency services vehicles.

The fire was reported in the roof of the property, with fire crews using four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and one covering jet to fight the fire.

Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service and West Mercia Police were both in attendance.
