ARMED police were called to reports of someone with a gun in Tolladine last night.
Police including firearms officers were seen in Conway, off Tolladine Road after reports of someone with a gun.
They carried out searches in the area but did not find the person.
Nobody has been arrested and enquiries are ongoing.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "Around 11:30pm last night (Sunday 19 June) officers received a report of a person seen with a firearm on Conway, off Tolladine Road in Worcester.
"Officers attended, including firearms officers. Area and property searches were carried out but the person has not yet been found.
"Enquiries are ongoing.
"If you have any information to help our enquiries please get in touch.
"Call 101 or report online quoting incident number 641 of 19 June."
An eyewitness in the area claimed they saw as many as 30 officers, some armed, swarming the road in the early hours of the morning.
