PREPARATIONS are continuing for the return of a summer fete that hasn't been held for two years in the pandemic.

Warndon Villages Summer Fete makes its welcome return on Sunday, July 10.

The popular usual annual event, hosted by Lyppard Hub in Ankerage Green, brings residents of Warndon Villages and the wider community together for a fun-filled afternoon for all the family.

The event starts at 12pm with popular band, Come Together performing.

There will be the usual fete favourites such as Punch and Judy, pony rides, carousels and refreshments - including a BBQ - visitors will able to discover more about local clubs, charities and organisations as well as the variety of activities that take place at Lyppard Hub.

Raffle prizes will also be up for grabs this year with all proceeds going towards the centre’s community projects such as the Dementia Cafe, Bereavement Support Groups, parent and toddler groups and youth club.

The event runs until 4pm.

“There is something for everyone to take part in and enjoy. Lyppard Hub has been at the heart of the community for almost 30 years and this event is all about people coming together, celebrating the wonderful work that goes on here and good old community spirit.

“We would just like to thank all our dedicated volunteers, all the businesses that have donated raffle prizes and Tesco, Warndon for their support with our BBQ.”
