Treehouses are often associated with Bart Simpson's childhood hide-out at the bottom of his garden.

But Treeopia, on the medieval farmstead, Parsons Hall Farm in Tenbury Wells is offering adults a unique and luxurious treehouse experience.

It has also scooped a prestigious award naming it as one of the top places to visit in the UK.

Treetopia was one of three Worcestershire tourist attractions to scoop an award in the Visit England Awards of Excellence 2022.

The unique treehouse, overnight experience in Tenbury Wells, and was awarded the top prize of gold for Self Catering Accommodation of the Year.

Also scooping awards were Severn Valley Railway and Rowley Farm Holidays based in Holt Heath.

The retreat offers its visitors two very individual and modern treehouses in a mature Ash Tree.

The accommodation is strictly for adults only and there are only two treehouses on the farm.

The treehouses follow a sleek and modern exterior and the surrounding countryside boasts of four acres of land for visitors to explore.

They provide the perfect place for a staycation offering a unique stayover with incredible views for those with a head for heights.

A spokesperson from Treeopia said: "Our aim is to provide our guests with complete privacy, enabling them to relax, unwind and shut off from everyday life occasions, absorbing Treeopia’s truly beautiful surroundings amid some of England’s greatest countryside.

"With over 4 acres of woodlands, pools and babbling brooks to roam, connect with nature, listen to hoots of the owls, spot the red kite, meditate in the circle of trees overlooking the large ponds or just relax in the hot tub and observe the wildlife."
