STAFF at Chaddesley Corbett Surgery are delighted after being nominated for a Worcestershire Health and Social Care Award.

The surgery, which has been praised for its helpful and friendly team, is up for the GP Practice of the Year Award.

The practice was put forward for the award by a patient who has "always received great service from the team."

They said: "Everyone is so friendly, helpful and thoughtful and goes beyond and above the call of duty.

"Even through the pandemic I received frequent telephone calls from the surgery asking about my health even though I couldn't see them face to face".

Reacting to the nomination, Chaddesley Corbett Surgery said: "We are delighted and humbled to have been nominated for this award, it has given our team a fantastic boost to morale after an incredibly turbulent and difficult few years.

"During this time, the surgery team have worked hard to continue to provide a quality and responsive service despite the restrictions that have been in place.

"We would like to express our ongoing gratitude to our patients for their support and understanding throughout the pandemic; their messages of thanks have been a great source of comfort and reassurance during this time".
