TWO cars were involved in a crash this morning on a busy Worcester road.

The collision occurred on Upper Tything near the city centre, with the incident first reported via the AA Traffic Checker at 6.57am this morning.

Police were alerted to the incident shortly after and confirmed that there were no injuries sustained during the crash.

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "Around 7.15am today (Wednesday 29 June) officers received a report of a collision between two cars on Upper Tything, Worcester.

"The road was closed while officers attended and the road was cleared of debris.

"No injuries were reported."

The road was reportedly blocked due to debris on road after the collision, and slow-moving traffic was reported along the entirety of Upper Tything and continuing on Barbourne Road.

No other emergency services were in attendance at the scene.
