A PETROL station in Worcester is charging over £2 for diesel as fuel prices creep up at the pumps. 

The most expensive place to fill up your car in Worcester is the BP petrol station in Lower Wick on Malvern Road. 

According to petrolprices.com, the BP petrol station is charging 197.9p for unleaded and 201.9p for diesel while premium diesel will cost 211.9p. 

Tolladine Service Station on Tolladine Road in Worcester has become the second most expensive petrol station.

The station is charging 194.9p for unleaded and diesel is 199.9p making it a penny off £2.   

Clerkenleap Service Station on Bath Road in Worcester is charging 192.9p for unleaded while diesel is 199.9p. 

In early June, Sainsbury's in Blackpole situated on Windermere Drive charged 172.9p for unleaded petrol and 184.9p for diesel.

The fuel station is now charging 193.9p for unleaded and 199.9p for diesel. 

However, the BP garage on Whittington Road is currently the cheapest place to fill up your vehicle.

On Wednesday (June 29), unleaded petrol costs 184.9p while diesel costs 196.9p at the BP garage. 

The second cheapest petrol station in Worcester is Tesco Esso Express on London Road, where it currently costs 185.9p for unleaded and diesel will cost 196.9p.

A mother-of-five was filling up petrol at Tesco Esso Express and said: "I do keep an eye out. It's ridiculous, they need to cut the duty on this. 

"My petrol has come to £82 whereas before it could come to £65."

The woman, says she has to use her car for work and signed a petition at work to increase the rate they get reimbursed for petrol.

She said: "We should get reimbursed 60p per litre not 45p like we do now. 

"Everyone is feeling the pinch now. 

"I'm glad we have a dual-income household so we're not struggling, but there are plenty of people who are."
