Wedding guests were left stunned by a spectacle in the skies of Worcestershire.

A plane flying over the county released fireworks from its wings, creating a beautiful display which some eyewitnesses thought was a UFO.

It turns out the show was the brainchild of Stefan West, who got married on Saturday night at Churchfields in Droitwich.

Stefan and new wife Katie, both 28, couldn’t be more pleased with how it went.

He said: “All the guests absolutely loved it.

“It was a surprise to most of them, we thought it would be good if we didn’t tell too many people about it.”

Although he planned to keep it a secret, it soon became anything but with dozens of people taking to social media to comment on the display.

Stefan works as a pilot for an airline, and it was his colleagues who gave him the idea.

“It was one of those things, a few of the guys at work knew about someone who did it and I just thought that is a brilliant idea,” he said.
