THE team at a nursery is celebrating after being named nursery of the year.

Little Lodge Nursery was awarded nursery of the year for Central England at the National Day Nurseries Association Awards.

The nursery's manager Rosemary Mcnamara also took how the title of manager of the year across the UK.

The nursery in Spetchley, near Worcester, has undergone a major transformation since it was taken over in August 2019 by current owners Vivek Shah & Khilan Dhanani.

They said said: "It's a testament to the hard work the team have put in over the last three years which culminated in the Outstanding rating back in November 2021.

"The nursery is also shortlisted as most promising new business of the year at the Worcestershire and Herefordshire Chamber of Commerce awards to be held on July 7, where we hope to go one step further and win, after being shortlisted last year.

"The aim has always been to increase the quality of childcare across the county and being recognised for this at a national level has been a great boost for our nursery and the community."

The nursery - in Swinesherd Way - was given the awards at a ceremony on Friday, June 24 at the Chesford Grange Hotel in Kenilworth.
