Police were called to Stourport Road shortly before 1pm today (Thursday, July 7), where a member of the public reported hearing gunshots and believed that a man had been injured.
Following a police search, a BB gun was located at a nearby address and the two men, aged 24 and 49, were arrested. They are currently in custody awaiting questioning.
A 36-year-old man suffered minor leg injuries during the incident.
A number of roads were closed as officers conducted searches but have since opened.
Inspector David King said: "This was probably quite a scary incident for members of the public who were going about their normal business.
"I would like to thank them for their patience during the incident and reassure them that them that there is no wider threat to the community.
"There will, however, be extra patrols in the area for reassurance and anyone with concerns can speak to us."
