A WOMAN has to wash at her mum's house and is too ashamed to invite friends over to her mouldy housing association flat.

Natea May-Griffiths said she feels ashamed of her Platform Housing flat due to the copious amounts of white mould.

Miss May-Griffiths, who has lived on Albert Road in Worcester for the past four years, said water has been leaking through her roof creating a massive hole in her floor.

She does not know what is causing the leak but it is gradually getting worse over the past month and now the ceiling has fallen through.

The 22-year-old said Platform Housing covered the hole in her home on July 13 after she begged someone to fix the problem.

She said: "There are still lots of issues with this property. They have covered up the hole, but I can see it happening again because there's still a leak."

Miss May-Griffiths claims that if the leak continues to grow the residents in the flat below will be able to see into her home.

"I want to have friends over and I want people to see my house, but I feel ashamed of the property.

"I pay £400 a month for a one-bedroom flat for my floor to fall through and no one to come help me.

"I still feel neglected, I hate it here and I don't want to live here anymore.

"I have anxiety and depression and they told me not to use the bathroom or shower."

Instead, she is having to go to her mum's house in Tolladine to wash.

Marion Duffy, chief operations officer from Platform Housing, said: "We are sorry to hear about this situation for our customer Miss May-Griffiths.

"Looking after the health and wellbeing of our customers is paramount.

"We can confirm we attended on July 13th and are continuing to work with Miss May-Griffiths to resolve the repair issue."
