Worcestershire’s own Becky Hill has surprised contestants and viewers with a performance at the Love Island villa.

The Brit Award-winning singer teased her appearance on the ITV2 show yesterday, posting pictures of her on the set on Twitter and Instagram.

The 28-year-old from Bewdley told her followers: “I’ve heard there’s a brand new bombshell entering the villa tonight… to sing some tunes.

“All I’m saying is you don’t want to miss this.”

Hill follows in the footsteps of Mabel, Craig David and DJ Tom Zanett by entering the villa.

Islanders certainly seemed excited to see her, with Paige Thorne, whose partner Jacques quit the show during Tuesday’s episode to protect his mental health, saying: “Becky Hill is going to be here tonight in Love Island baby.”

Ekin-Su Culculoglu says: “I’m a huge fan of Becky Hill. A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”

Hill provided some light relief for the contestants after a dramatic week on the island, singing a selection of her hits including Crazy What Love Can Do and My Heart Goes in the villa garden.

After the performance, Danica Taylor said: “She was absolutely insane, so grateful and blessed to be here right now and to have witnessed that.”

Becky Hill's top three Love Island moments

Ahead of her appearance on the show, Hill shared her top three moments from this season of Love Island.

Topping her list is the moment that the two villas came together as the Casa Amor part of the show ended.

Not because they were reunited but because of the “incredibly iconic line” that came from Indiyah when she said “may the best heartbreaker win” to Dami as the islanders were gathered around the fire pit.

Hill said the moment she found to be the funniest was when the islanders took part in the Dirty Dancing challenge.

The moment that pulled on the heartstrings and she called her “cutest moment” was when ITV viewers saw Luca and Gemma visit the hideaway.

She said: “Gemma kinda came back and was talking to all the girls about it the next day and she was like ‘oh, Luca kept waking up in the middle of the night’.”
