A DUSTY Springfield sound-a-like with Worcestershire connections has reached the final of a BBC reality show.

Katy Setterfield - who lived in Malvern until 2006 - has constantly impressed judges on primetime television show The One and Only.

And this Saturday, the 37-year-old is competiting against Frank Sinatra, Lionel Richie, Robbie Williams and Cher look-a-likes to be crowned the UK's best tribute act.

The show's winner will get a contract to perform regularly in Las Vegas.

Ms Setterfield and her husband Andy Hodge lived in Lower Wyche Road, Malvern, for five years before moving back to High Wycombe where they both grew up. "Since the show we've had people we used to know in the area coming out of the woodwork to wish us good luck," said Mr Hodge.

"And we still have friends in Castlemorton, near Malvern, because that's where Katy keeps her horse."

During last weekend's semi-final singing coaches David and Carrie Grant described Ms Setterfields rendition of I Just Don't Know What to do With Myself as "stunning" and "magical".

The 37-year-old, who dons a bee-hive wig and colourful 60s costume to perform as Dusty each week, said she cannot believe she got through to the grand final.

"I keep looking over my shoulder to check that I'm still in the show. It's like scoring a goal in the FA Cup," she said.

Since 2000, Ms Setterfield and her husband have toured the UK with their rock and roll show That'll Be The Day.

Mr Hodge said they hoped to visit this area later in the year.

To vote for her to win The One and Only, watch the grand final on BBC One at 7.30pm on Saturday, February 16.

Dusty Springfield was actually born Mary O'Brien on April 16, 1939.

Her hits included I Only Want To Be With You, Wishin' and Hopin' and Son Of A Preacher Man.
