A FORMER Worcestershire woman has been crowned the "one and only" Dusty Springfield.

Singer Katy Setterfield - who lived in Lower Wyche Road, Malvern, until 2006 - was "gob-smacked" to win BBC One's The One and Only show on Saturday night.

The 37-year-old, who still keeps horses in Castlemorton, will now spend three-months in Las Vegas performing with Legends in Concert - the world's longest running tribute show.

In the nail-biting live final, hosted by comedian Graham Norton, Miss Setterfield faced stiff competition from four other tribute acts - Frank Sin-atra, Cher, Robbie Will-iams and Lionel Richie -- but won the audience over with renditions of In The Middle Of Nowhere, All I See Is You and When I Needed You.

Speaking just after the show, the lifelong Dusty fan who now lives in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, said: "I'm absolutely speechless, I'm gob-smacked.

"I really can't believe it and I'm very excited about going to Vegas. Being in the competition has been great but I didn't think I'd get past the first round."

Miss Setterfield has been a professional singer since 1989. When she and her husband, Andy Hodge, lived in Malvern they regularly performed in the region with their long-running rock and roll show That'll Be The Day. The real Dusty Springfield was born Mary O'Brien on April 16, 1939. Her hits included I Only Want To Be With You and Wishin' and Hopin'.
