PARTS of the River Severn are so low with water that you can see the riverbed.
A Worcester News journalist visited the River Severn near Worcester Bridge earlier this morning and managed to capture images which show the riverbed from the banks of the water.
On Bromwich Parade, adjacent to Worcestershire County Cricket Club and Worcester Bridge, the rocky riverbed could clearly be seen.
The water level was also low enough to make out discarded mugs which had been thrown into the river.
The low river levels have recently been warned by The Environmental Agency, who shared that they were recently in the nearby city of Gloucester recording the water levels.
A spokesperson shared on Twitter: "This year's warm temperatures and dry weather have led to exceptionally low river flows.
"Yesterday we attended the River Twyver in Gloucester after receiving reports of dried sections. No dead fish were found.
"If you spot an environmental incident, you can call the 24/7 hotline on 0800 807060."

The recent heatwave has caused low water levels in ponds, and wildlife experts have warned that some species could be at risk after the record-breaking hot temperatures have dried up the ponds.
