Dog walkers have been warned their pets could be put down following a pair of sheep attacks.

A ewe was found with dog bite wounds near Earnslaw Quarry.

Then, in a second separate incident, a dog was seen chasing a ewe and a lamb out of the field near St Ann’s Well.

Malvern Hills Trust has reacted to the incidents by issuing a plea to dog walkers.

A spokesperson for the trust said: “As the summer holidays begin we'd like to remind visitors of the importance of keeping dogs on leads near livestock.

“Sheep worrying, which includes chasing, is a criminal offence and dog owners could face a fine or in severe cases, see the destruction of their dog.”
