WORCESTERSHIRE megastar is set to perform at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

Award-winning pop star Becky Hill will perform at Beach Volleyball on Wednesday, August 3 at the Smithfield site towards the end of the 2.30pm session.

The exclusive performance is only available for beach volleyball ticket holders.

The chart-topping singer is one of the many performers taking part in the Birmingham 2022 Festival at the Smithfield site.

On Saturday (July 30), fans watched world-renowned DJ Jax Jones ahead of the beach volleyball.

It follows her headline-grabbing pre-match performance at the Euro 2022 finals when she performed her hit songs.

While her storming performance wowed the crowds, a few internet trolls complained about her show costume - a silver body suit and knee-high boots.

She hit back by saying: "Be proud of your bodies, celebrate yourselves, show off your curves, cover up for no one and be confident.

"It took me a long time to learn that and I wish I had role models like that growing up! thanks for having me today."

Not only that but, music-lovers are in luck this August as the Smithfield site is hosting a festival of festivals with a different cultural partner taking to the specially commissioned three-sided Beacon Stage every single day.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy DJ sets and live performances to accompany the games.

Across August, the Swingamajig, featuring the sounds and styles of the 1920s, DJs from BBC Asian Network, Selextorhood, who champion and empower women and gender minority DJs, MADE Festival, Mostly Jazz Funk and Soul, and Break Mission and Eric Scutaro.

In July, fans of Love Island were excited to see the 28-year-old surprise the contestants and viewers with a performance at the iconic villa in Spain.

Just before entering the villa, the 'bombshell' from Bewdley teased her appearance on the hit ITV2 reality tv show.

The 28-year-old told her followers: “I’ve heard there’s a brand new bombshell entering the villa tonight… to sing some tunes.

“All I’m saying is you don’t want to miss this.”

Hill followed in the footsteps of Mabel, Craig David and DJ Tom Zanett by entering the villa.
