A new nursery is coming to Worcester's city centre with owners hoping to open the doors this September.

The new spot will be named Lowesmoor Nursery and Preschool and will be situated on Lowesmoor Wharf just opposite Aldi.

It has been launched by the current owners of Lyppard Nursery.

Gemma Cole, co-owner of both nurseries, said:  "We already have a very popular and successful nursery called Lyppard Nursery in Warndon Villages so this new one will run alongside it and will allow us to open our doors to many more families.

"Myself and Emma Smith own the two nurseries and we are both qualified teachers who have moved from working in primary schools to nursery ownership, we opened our first one in the Lyppards in 2017.

"The new nursery is based in Lowesmoor Wharf and will have a large open plan nursery room, a separate hall space for our physical activities such as tennis, dance and gymnastics, an outdoor play area and a sensory room.

"It will be a term-time nursery with some optional holiday care and places can be booked for children aged 2-5.

"We want our new nursery to have a community feel so we plan to use our hall space to support community groups.

"We are also in talks with a speech therapist who may also be based within our nursery building.

"This is a very exciting venture and it will be a great addition to the local area."

The pair have already created a Facebook page for Lowesmoor Nursery and Preschool with updates of the renovations being carried out at the nursery.

The nursery is now accepting bookings for children to have places in September.

There is currently a sign outside the nursery's planned location with contact details for any prospective parents.

Lyppard Nursery was registered in 2017 at Lyppard Hub just off of Ankerage Green and is yet to be inspected by Ofsted
