Couples are always looking for the perfect place to celebrate their big day, and a Worcestershire pub reckons it has the answer.
The Holt Fleet’s Secret Garden is tucked away behind private gates and is available exclusively to wedding parties.
The riverside garden area boasts plenty of space to host drinks receptions, garden games, bouncy castles and photoshoots.
And there are plenty of couples lining up to celebrate in the secluded outdoor space.
Co-owner Sue Law said: “Our wedding season this year has been fantastic since lockdown.
“By the end of 2022, we will have completed nearly 100 weddings - some church weddings, but mainly people having their wedding ceremony with us.
“We are now taking bookings into 2025 as prime dates in 2023 and 2024 are already booked.

“We’ve had the Secret Garden for about two years now - it was another one of our lockdown projects.”
Riverside dining pods at the Holt Fleet
Making the most of being locked down, the Holt Fleet also installed a number of dining pods alongside the river in 2020. These are available for private hire and feature full table service as well as views of the River Severn.
A new bar and bistro area have also been opened at the family-run pub, as well as a riverside garden with its own outside bar.
The Secret Garden is the Holt Fleet’s newest addition, offering something different to couples looking for a picturesque wedding reception in the Worcestershire countryside.
“It has its own private gates and is used for our wedding guests, weather permitting,” said Sue.
“Guests can choose decor if they wish and we recommend The Wedding House in Droitwich, which did the decor you can see in these pictures.

“It’s an ideal private and secluded area where the adults can have a drinks reception and the children can play garden games or make use of a bouncy castle if the couple have hired one.”
