FIRE crews rushed to put out a fire in a field of straw near Evesham.
Crews from Evesham, Pershore, Worcester and Gloucester joined forces to put out a fire in a field of straw near Hinton on the Green on Monday afternoon (August 8) at 12.55pm.
The incident capped off a busy day for the teams, with a number of open area fires being dealt with.
Multiple hose reel jets, beaters and backpack sprayers were used to tackle the fire, with the Met Office confirming another heatwave across large parts of the country this week.
A Hereford and Worcester Fire Service spokesperson said: "A busy day yesterday dealing with multiple fire in the open incidents including this field fire of straw crop at Hinton-on-the-Green."
