These dramatic pictures show the effects of a tractor fire in a Worcestershire village.

Firefighters were called to the blaze in Wichenford at 2.50pm yesterday (Sunday, August 14).

Crews from Worcester Fire Station attended and found the farm vehicle “well alight” - but said no-one was injured in the fire.

“En route to the incident fire control mobilised a third appliance due to the number of repeat calls being received,” said a spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service.

They said that on arrival, four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to tackle the fire.

“The fire had also spread to the nearby vegetation,” the spokesperson added. “Using a thermal imaging camera we ensured all hot spots were cooled and dealt with.”

Crews thanked the farming community for assisting in road clearance and residents for supplying emergency services with ice-cold refreshments.
