Summer Yoga 22 to 26 August Next week sees the return of Summer Yoga on Rodborough Common.

From Monday to Friday you can practice yoga twice a day, for free, surrounded by panoramic views.

The sessions are lead by local teacher Elles Theulen, who teaches a slow and attentive style of yoga called Kishori Yoga, which is suitable for all abilities.

After an enforced two year break, this the 7th year Summer Yoga is being offered.

“The first year in 2014, it was on for three weeks, mornings only and there would be about 6 or 10 of us. But over the years the event has grown and people keep coming back because it’s so special to practice together outdoors. Now it’s on for just one week, but twice a day and in 2019 there were more than a hundred people practicing at a time.

"It’s quite an experience to move in silence together with so many people, and the common is plenty big enough to accommodate us all. It’s very peaceful.”

The sessions are offered for free, in the spirit of charity to all participants, but if you have the means and inclination to give something in return you can make a donation to Kishori Yoga or a charity of your choice. 22 to 26 August, 10 to 11am & 6 to 7pm, Rodborough Common - behind the fort.

Bring a beach towel or a yoga mat. Please note that the classes are for adults only. More information www.kishoriyoga.com.
