A FIRE crew was called to a busy residential road in Worcester following reports of smoke in the street.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service were called to Cranham Drive, Warndon, yesterday evening, after reports of smoke emerging from a bollard.
A crew from Worcester attended the scene where the issue was revealed to be with the electrics.
A spokesperson for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue said: "We were called to reports of smoke from defective street furniture on Cranham Drive.
"We mobilised at 8.47pm and discovered that the smoke was due to the electrics within the bollard.
"Western Power Distribution and Worcestershire County Council also both attended the scene and we were able to leave at 11.50pm."
