Leaders, an estate agent, placed Ombersley among the top five most beautiful places to live in the UK thanks to its black and white timber properties.

Ombersley is home to a butcher’s and deli called Checketts Fine Foods which offers hampers and pizza plus a fine dining service in the home.

Laura Shaw, events manager, said: "I think it's a posh area, we have a lot of passing trade here from Birmingham and London from people who have heard of us and wanted to visit.

"Even though we're on the main road, it's very peaceful here and we get to meet new faces every day. We have a few regulars but we also get a lot of new faces."

Mrs Shaw, who has been working at the Inn for eight years, added: "I think people come and visit us because we're near the motorway and we have six bedrooms.

King's Arms is also on Main Road in Ombersley and gives off a 1920s charm.
