A village pub has received a zero rating from the Food Standards Agency, the lowest rating possible.

The Bridge on Plough Road at Tibberton was inspected on March 15, 2022.

An overview of the inspection available on the FSA website states that urgent improvement is necessary for the cleanliness and condition of facilities and buildings.

This involves the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building (including having appropriate layout, ventilation, hand washing facilities and pest control) to enable good food hygiene.

The FSA said that major improvement was necessary for the business' hygienic food handling which involves the hygienic handling of food including preparation, cooking, re-heating, cooling and storage.

However, the FSA found that the management of food safety was generally satisfactory, involving systems or checks in place to ensure that food sold or served is safe to eat, evidence that staff know about food safety, and the food safety officer has confidence that standards will be maintained in future.

Worcester News contacted The Bridge but they declined to comment.
