A ST Paul's Hostel resident has appeared at Worcester Crown Court accused of arson. 

Darren Miles faces one count of arson with intent to endanger life but is yet to enter a plea. 

The 40-year-old appeared at Worcester Crown Court for the latest hearing of the case on September 8.

Simon Phillips was the prosecutor during the short hearing. Miles appeared unrepresented. 

Judge James Burbidge KC told Miles he would not be asked for his plea, but would be expected to give one at the next hearing of the case which was scheduled for November 17.

Miles was also told by the judge that if he enters a not guilty plea he can expect to face a three-day trial in the fortnight after January 9 next year. 

Miles was given unconditional bail.
