SMALL and medium-sized businesses in Worcestershire that are ready to export are being invited to a free seminar next month.

UK Trade and Investment - the Government body that supports British companies trading internationally - is holding the breakfast event, entitled "Starting Export", on Tuesday, May 20 at Wharton Park Golf Club, Longbank, Bewdley.

The event runs from 9am until noon, with registration and breakfast at 8.15am.

UK Trade & Investment's team of local international trade advisers, who are highly experienced in helping businesses export, will be delivering the seminars.

Delegates will be able to find out about the wide range of services that are available to help them, especially the flagship Passport to Export scheme, a structured programme for new or novice exporters.

They will also see videos of case studies featuring West Midlands companies that have become successful exporters with UK Trade & Investment's support.

Linda Smith, International Trade Manager at the Chamber of Commerce Herefordshire and Worcestershire, said: "This is a great opportunity for Worcestershire firms.

"We would like to hear from companies of any size with products or services that can compete internationally - if you think there might be a market for your business overseas, come along to the event and find out more about all the support that's available to help you become a successful exporter."

UK Trade & Investment's services in Worcestershire are delivered through the Chamber of Commerce Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
