Highways Agency is advising motorists to expect delays on the M42 between junctions 1 and 2 following a road traffic incident at approximately 11.40am.
A HGV has overturned and has come to rest on the barrier, closing the fast lane in both directions.
Police, fire, ambulance and Highways Agency traffic officers are currently on the scene.
