A Worcester man on Channel 4's Married at First Sight UK has had a rocky journey and last night's episode saw him almost walk away from the show.

It was love/hate week in last night's episode and George Roberts and his wife April considered whether or not their marriage was going to last.

The Malvern College alumnus has had doubts since the couple embarked on their honeymoon when Mr Roberts' wife, who is also Miss Great Britain 2020, kissed another woman.

The challenge for the week was for the couple to tell each other three things that they do and do not like about one another.

April said: "I hate the way you say you trust me but I don't feel like you really do and I find myself always trying to defend myself."

Mr Roberts responded to this by saying: "I dislike when you leave out certain details from stories, or your past."

This sparked conflict between the pair as they spent the episode disagreeing about where to draw the line in how much they should tell one another about their past relationships.

Mr Roberts found out some information about April's past relationship on the internet after trying to search for her date of birth that he felt she should have told him.

He said that he worries about his family and his kids trusting her and after meeting with a friend on the show, said: "I just want to go home to my kids and my family."

The couple spent the night apart but reconciled the following day.

Mr Roberts said: "We've got something, you know."

This led to a tearful hug between the pair as they decide to take "baby steps" toward building their marriage.

The next stage of the show will follow all of the couples heading away for a mini break together.
