A wedding show due to take place at Sixways Stadium has been moved after Worcester Warriors went into administration.

The Warriors Wedding Show was going to be held at the stadium on Sunday, October 30.

But with uncertainty surrounding both the club and Sixways, organisers DIVA Wedding Shows have moved the event to Stanbrook Abbey Hotel in Callow End, which held a wedding show of its own on September 11.

The organisers said the show will run at the same time - 11am to 3pm - and there is no need for guests to register again if they have already registered for the Warriors show.

“DIVA Wedding Fayres are heading back to Stanbrook Abbey on October 30,” the company said in a statement.

“This should have been the Sixways show but the uncertainty at the moment means we have made the decision to move this show to Stanbrook. Thank you for letting us back at short notice, Stanbrook Abbey!

The Department for Culture, Media and Sport announced earlier this week that Worcester Warriors Rugby Club would be put into administration.

The Rugby Football Union also suspended the club from all competitions after it failed to show it could finance the remainder of the rugby season.

Since then, the organisers of a number of events have confirmed they will still be taking place at Sixways - although most happen in the car park, which is a separate entity to the club and the stadium.

Oktoberfest Worcester, the Big 90s Festival and the Big Sleep Out are all confirmed to still be taking place at Sixways in October.
