Motorists are being warned as major delays are set to hit city roads.

First Worcester has warned that it is expecting "severe congestion" on several services.

This comes after temporary traffic lights were set up on Rainbow Hill.

It is expected that this will also cause traffic issues inside the grounds of Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

The 34, 35, 38 and X37 services are likely to be affected.

A First Worcester spokesperson said: "We are expecting severe congestion on services 34/35/38/X38 due to unforeseen temporary lights on Rainbow Hill, and expected congestion inside the Hospital grounds.

"We do apologise."

The bus service has also warned that there is likely to be "disruption" to the X50 service which runs from Worcester to Evesham.

This is due to the ongoing Mop Fair in Evesham.
