Two Worcester schools have been shortlisted for The Independent School Awards 2022.

Two of the King’s Worcester Schools - King’s Worcester Senior School and King’s Hawford - have been named among some of the leading independent schools in the country.

King's Hawford has been shortlisted for Independent Prep School of the Year whilst The King's School, Worcester has been nominated for Co-educational Independent School of the Year.

These prestigious annual awards, which received over 1,000 entries from UK independent schools, are designed to showcase independent school success stories and celebrate the extraordinary student experience provided throughout the year.

All three of the King’s Schools (The King's School, Worcester, King's St Albans and King's Hawford) were shortlisted back in July for a total of five Awards.

The King's Worcester team was "thrilled" to hear that two of the King’s Schools have now been named as finalists, in their respective categories.

Gareth Doodes, the headmaster at King’s Worcester and CEO of the foundation, said: “We were thrilled that all three schools have been shortlisted in many categories this year and also to recently hear that we have been chosen as finalists in two categories for King’s Hawford and our Senior School, King’s Worcester.

“There are some incredible schools in the finals, and we are honoured that our inspiring and well-rounded provision has led us to be in the final selection.

"It is a great acknowledgement that our schools, staff and pupils have been recognized at a national level for our co-educational provision and our forward-thinking approach to prep school education.”
