A MAN has admitted robbing a BMW and driving it dangerously. 

Jordan Gurney admitted three counts when he appeared at Worcester Crown Court on Wednesday, (October 12). 

The 33-year-old pleaded guilty to robbery, dangerous driving and driving without insurance. 

All the crimes took place on August 18 this year.

The court heard Gurney robbed the BMW from victim Sam Hitchman before driving it dangerously on the B4083 Wyre Road in Pershore. 

Michael Aspinall, defending Gurney of Albert Road, Evesham, asked for an adjournment for Gurney to have a psychiatric report. 

Amrisha Parathalingam, prosecuting, made no submissions.

Judge James Burbidge KC said: "You have had the good sense to plead guilty, a judge will take that into account when they sentence you.

"I will agree for your sentence to be adjourned so you can be seen by a psychiatrist, and for the probation service to see you.

"There can be two reports. The judge needs information to impose the correct and just sentence."

The judge added Gurney, who is in custody, should appear at the crown court for his sentence which will take place on November 23. 

Gurney said "thank you for your time", as a dock officer led him down the stairs to the cells.
