CHRISTMAS is just around the corner which means the streets are getting ready to be lined with the Christmas Fayre, Santa Claus and Christmas lights being switched on.

Worcester's popular Victorian Christmas Fayre will be held over four days this year and visitors should expect stalls, entertainment and street food.

Around 200 Christmas-themed stalls are set to line Worcester city centre between Thursday, December 1, and Sunday, December 4.

Every year the fair, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, welcomes thousands of people from across the country.

Entertainment will include lofty entertainers on stilts, singers performing on stage, and buskers on every street corner.

Father Christmas will also be making an appearance in Crowngate this year on Saturday, November 26 between 4pm and 7pm.

The big switch-on of the highly anticipated Christmas lights will also be taking place on Saturday, November 26 at 6pm.
