A MAN who is alleged to have threatened to petrol bomb a property is set to appear in court next month. 

Jason Bridger, of Canterbury Road, Worcester, has been charged with making a threat to damage, destroy property; criminal damage and assault a person occasioning them actual bodily harm.

Bridger is also accused of assault by beating and using threatening, abusive, insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear or provoking unlawful violence. 

All the offences are alleged to have taken place on May 24 this year, apart from the criminal damage that the prosecution say took place on May 25.

The prosecution alleges the threat was made to a person in Droitwich, Bridger saying he would petrol bomb a house belonging to them and intending she would fear that the threat would be carried out.

The other offences are alleged to have taken place in Worcester.

In the criminal damage charge, Bridger is accused of damaging a camera casing and light belonging to West Mercia Police.

At Redditch Magistrates Court on Monday, November 7, the case was adjourned. Nina Gill prosecuted, Judith Kenney defending Bridger. 

Bridger is yet to enter a plea to the charges.

The next hearing of Bridger's case will take place on December 15 at Worcester Magistrates Court.
