A POPULAR Worcester steak restaurant has officially moved into its new second location ahead of its anticipated opening.

Ounce Bar and Kitchen, of Main Street, Bishamton, said it has officially moved into its new location following the success of its flagship restaurant on The Tything in Worcester.

The former Dolphin Inn pub is the new home for the restaurant, which closed earlier this year on Tuesday, September 27.

The post said: "We are in. Let's get started.

"Bookings will go live soon"

The new location is hoping to open its doors to the public on Thursday, December 15.

Ounce has been open since 2018 in Worcester and was previously The Marwood and the Green Man.

The restaurant proved popular in the city for its Tuesday and Wednesday special offers where steaks are available for £1 every ounce.

Earlier this year, the restaurant was awarded the coveted Prestige Award for the central England region.

The Dolphin Inn was famous for its roast dinners, pies and regular Sunday pub quiz.

When the pub closed, a statement from the reatrsaid: "And just like that the sun has set on our time at The Dolphin.

"The business will now be closed until taken over by new management later this year. Thank you for supporting us and making us feel welcome in the village."

The restaurant serves is renowned for serving steaks with customers able to choose a cut of their choice by the ounce.

Ounce Bar and Kitchen has 4.5 stars on TripAdvisor and is rated 28th out of 228 restaurants in Worcester.
