“River levels remain high at the Kempsey Yacht Club river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall,” the alert says.
“Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland continues. We expect flooding to affect low lying land and roads adjacent the river from Highley to Tewkesbury.”
The river is expected to peak overnight Sunday into Monday morning (November 27 and 28).
“We expect river levels to remain high over the next few days,” the Environment Agency said.
“We are closely monitoring the situation. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.”
A flood alert has also been issued for the River Avon in Worcestershire, with areas including Evesham, Twyning, Offenham and the Eckington Road at risk of being affected.
