Gritters will head out as temperatures are set to plummet.
Worcestershire County Council's highways and travel team has confirmed that gritting lorries will hit the roads tonight.
This comes as road temperatures are expected to fall below zero, with possible lows of -1.4C.
A council spokesperson said: "Happy New Year Worcestershire!
"After a milder Christmas period, road temperatures are likely to fall below zero tonight with a possible minimum of -1.4C.
"Our gritters will be out from 4:30pm today, please take care if travelling."
According to the Met Office, temperatures are set to drop to 2C overnight tonight, although it will feel like 0C.
Looking forward, Tuesday will see wet and windy conditions in the morning and then again at night, with a clear spell in between and highs of 11C.
Unsettled weather is expected for Wednesday and Thursday, with possible outbreaks of rain and strong winds.
