TWO stangers tried to force a sixth form student into a car.

A warning to be vigilant has been issued by a principal in Worcester after the 'serious incident' took place near a sixth-form college.

A female student, who attends Worcester Sixth Form College on Spetchley Road, was approached by two strangers who tried to force her into a car.

It is believed the incident took place on Thursday (January 5).

The strangers approached the student near the college and police are involved.

David Butler, who is the principal at Tudor Grange Academy Worcester, has urged parents to remind their children to be 'vigilant when walking to and from school'.

In an email to parents and carers, which is now being widely shared on social media, Mr Butler said: "We have been made aware of a serious incident that occurred yesterday afternoon in which a female student, who attends Worcester Sixth Form College, was approached by two strangers who attempted to force her into a car.

"This incident happened in the vicinity of the Sixth Form College and police are involved.

"Please remind your child to be vigilant when walking to and from school."
